Thinking about starting a GSA at my school?

I've recently started one, I asked the principal first then got my advisors, and as of right now is on hold to hold the second meeting until I present it to the school board. Lots o fun! Go to the office and ask for a meeting with the principal go with the two teachers and the ten signatures. Do all of your reasearch on why you think you school needs in a community, socially, psychologicly view how it's beneficial. Get a few facts about suicide rates amoung LGBTQ's If your not a great speaker you might want to write it out and make key points. Conservative parents are hard to get by if it gets stuck on that post an article in the paper the school will not want bad pablicity. you might want to consider changing the name, and make a mission statement, what you hope to accomplish with this club. the first few meetings ask what they want the club to be about and what they want to do. i suggest you play games hold small parties with food, teens love food and will gain popularity :) dirty tricks work.
